Just a Wednesday

My day didn't start out good.
I was asleep by 12am again but I woke up a few hours later.
Had trouble going back to sleep so I ended up watching tv.
Finally went off to la-la land again about 4ish.
Only to be woken up by a nightmare not long after.

I don't dream often (tho I might not realized it happened) so the nightmare seemed very real.
It was very disturbing and I had tears in my eyes when I woke up.
I dreamt that Eric fell in love with another girl (while still married to me lar).
And she sells "chap fan"(economy mixed rice) in a coffeeshop somewhere.
What shocked me the most was that she's a typical ah lian.
OMG...he fell in love with an ah lian!!!
How can I lose to that? O_O
And they were conversing in mandarin (that should've been a clue that this was a dream as Eric's mandarin is...erm...limited)

Maybe he likes a woman who can cook? (I assumed she cooked the dishes for the chap fan okay)
I don't remember what dishes were available (no time to notice unnecessary details) but she wasn't close to being as pretty or hot as me (yes, I can be very vain) =P
Caught him red handed at the chap fan stall...being lovey dovey and all.
And happily eating her chap fan smiling like an idiot.
I woke up right after that scene.
It was too much...the heartache and betrayal felt so real till I cried.
Maybe it's a sign from above that I should really really start learning how to cook -_-

I smsed Eric and told him bout my nightmare 'cause it kinda freaked me out.

Me : Darling, I had a nightmare. Dreamt u fell in luv wit a gal that sells chap fan.
Eric : Haha...so funny,a gal that sells chap fan.Next time dream lar models or something.

Such nice comforting words from my wonderful hubby -_-

Anyways, headed off to Subang Parade in the afternoon to continue my search of the elusive pants for Bootcamp.
Couldn't find any that I like.
Ended up getting a pair of fake eyelashes and the Tarot card kit =)
Hopefully I'll be able to learn how to read the Tarot cards.
It looks easy and hard at the same time.
I'm a little confused now.
So maybe all I need is more practise.

Had half boiled eegs for dinner. High in protein which is just what blood type O people needs =)

Yesterday, caught up with a friend I knew since primary school.
It has always been so easy chatting with him eventhough we don't see each other often.
We just kinda pick up where we left off.
He just got out from a long distance relationship as the time apart was causing lots of stress for both of them.
I know what that feels like.
Two people far apart trying to build a future together.
It's hard and it's tiring.
It takes a lot of sacrifices.

Talking to him, I feel a lot better about myself.
The decisions I had to make, he understands.
Ever since I decided to quit  my job, I had to deal with alot of hurtful comments and unsolicitated opinions.
I've learnt to ignore them but it still gets to me once in a while.
This friend of mine, he really understands.
We see things the same way.
He agrees that it's the right thing to do.
It feels so good to have reassurance (besides Eric's because he's always on my side no matter what)
He even said that he wants to look for a gal like me to be his girlfriend =)
That's a very sweet compliment isn't it? *blush*

Hmm...maybe he doesn't know what an emo creature I am when he said that....*shhhhh* ignorance is bliss =P

Look For A Star

With all the controversy going on with Andy Lau in Malaysia and his secret wedding in Las Vegas last year, Eric and I finally watched his movie Look For A Star a few nights back.

What's so special about this movie is the fact that it was filmed in Macau.
And alot of scenes in MGM.
It doesn't hurt that Andy still looks so handsome and even I drool when looking at Shu Qi.
According to it's Wiki page, apparently the movie is based on the relationship between Stanley Ho and his 4th wife, Angela Leong.
I really can't imagine Stanley actually riding at the back of Angela's motorcycle all around Macau or Angela actually not knowing he is the Stanley Ho when they met.
Anyways, I'm glad I didn't know all this when we watched the movie.
It would've spoilt the movie for me. No matter how handsome Andy is.

Obviously this is a rich guy meets poor gal with a happy ending kinda movie.
Andy is his charming self as usual.
Shu Qi still have a long way to go with her Cantonese pronunciation.
My friends used to tease me and said I talk like Shu Qi.
Not in a good way.
I rather look like her. Not talk like her. With wrong pronunciations.
Yes, they laughed at me -_-
I think my Cantonese have improved leaps and bounds since living in Macau.
It's so embarrassing when locals here don't understand what I'm trying to say with my limited Cantonese.
I'm still learning, but still a long way to go.
Yeah...I've stop saying "cheng sek"(which we do in Malaysia!)
It's now "luk sek" (green colour) =P

Look For A Star even has it's own website.
It has the movie trailer and a few "making of" clips.
What's cute is the Love Monopoly Chart, which is a contest.
Unfortunately, I'm way too late =(
The contest ended a long time ago.

Since the movie was filmed in Macau, and Macau is a small small country, we recognized alot of the places in the movie.
Many we don't as well!
Eric is most excited anytime there's food featured in the movie.
He wants to know where is that place!!!
If you've always wondered how the MGM casino looks like, you gotta watch this movie.
And the funny part was when Shu Qi's character was at the MGM staff entrance and locker room, Eric was going "That's our staff entrance, see our locker, so small right?"
Now I know what he's talking about when he says his locker could only fit his shoes and nothing else =P

Anyways, I cried buckets.
I get damn emo whenever I watch movies or tv shows.
And this one really got to me.
Especially the part where the character Lin Jiu when on stage to declare his love for Jo.
He said, though he is poor, he deserve to love. And he wants her to know that in this world, there is someone who loves her.
I cried and cried and cried.

I believe in love.
Deep and selfless love.
And I could feel his every word.
Because I feel the same way.
Everyone deserve to love.
It doesn't matter if you're poor, educated, handsome, ugly, short, have three eyes or blind.
We deserve to be loved for who we are.
Accepted for who we are.
And if a person could love us despite our flaws, why can't we love ourself?
In love, there is sacrifice.
There is tolerance.
There is compromise.
There is heartbreak.

But why not give love a chance?
Give ourself a chance?
Isn't a little heartache worth it in the quest to obtain happiness?

Whether a guy has money or not has never been a priority for me.
Never really had a "List of Criteria" for The One before either.
Okay...maybe a mini list.

1. He must not be a criminal. (though I must say, even some criminals have someone to love them)
2. He must have a sense of humour.
3. Intellectually we must be compatible.(a very important criteria this one)
4. No STDs. (super important)

Maybe some people might say I've set a real low standards for guys I go out with.
But I believe in giving people a chance.
Never judge a book by it's cover?

Many people also think I'm bluffing when I told them Eric had nothing much when we started dating.
No car, no money, no job.
It didn't matter to me.
When Cupid's arrow strikes you, you can only follow your heart.

So, are you looking for a star?
Look closer, the star you're looking for might already be shining it's light on you.
It might be dim but give it a chance to shine.
Even a diamond needs a little polishing to dazzle =)

Passing of time

Today, we've officially been married for 3 years.
Registered our marriage in Putrajaya on 16th August 2006.
Wedding ceremony and dinner was on 23rd December 2006.
Yeah..this is kinda confusing to people unfamiliar with the Chinese way of getting married in Malaysia.

Though many couples do get registered on their actually wedding day, many don't.
Which makes things kinda complicated.
Like...which date is our wedding anniversary?
Eric and I chose 23rd Dec to celebrate each year.
Just because it's one of the best days of my life.
Isn't it tiring having so many anniversaries?

Thank goodness Eric and I doesn't have the "Day We Met" anniversary.
Actually, I've got no idea what day it was anyways.
Just that it was in highschool =P

Erm...we also don't have "Our First Date" anniversary.
Again...I don't think we actually went on a proper date.
It was more like a group thing.
Kinda weird when I think about it now.

Next would be "Going Steady" anniversary.
This one we have!!!
It was such a memorable day.
Thinking about it is making me smile.
I don't think anyone really know this story.
It was all happening while we were surrounded by our friends.
Not sure whether they were oblivious to our flying sparks or were just acting cool and let us be.
Okay..I gotta stop smiling at the computer screen now *blush*
The funny thing is..he never actually asked me to be his girlfriend.
It just sorta happen.In Redang.

Nobody actually celebrates "Day He Proposed" anniversary right?
So let's skip it.
As our wedding just happen as well.
No fancy romantic proposal to speak of.

Then we get to the "Officially Married" anniversary which is the day we registered our union with the Malaysian government.
We had such a small entourage on that day.
I remembered there were only 5 of us.
Eric, Me, Mum, one of my aunts and Eric's 2nd Sis.
When I got there, the other bride and groom had like 30 people in their entourage dressed to kill.
The bride even had a veil and hand bouquet.
It was like their whole family turned up for the registration.
The whole process of registering in a cold government building is so unromantic.
It was quick and painless though =)

Thankfully and luckily we have the "Wedding Day" anniversary.

So..a standard couple would have like 5 different anniversaries to celebrate their relationship?
Depends whether you celebrate the Day He Proposed and Officially Married day.
This is on top of celebrating Valentine's Day, Birthdays and Christmas.

So lets see, that's 5 + 4(because there's 2 birthday to celebrate!) which makes 9 occasions in a year.
Imagine if all of those days falls on different months in a year.
Damn busy right?

And when the baby comes?
Maybe then all those anniversaries won't mean much anymore =P
So, let's celebrate while we can.

Still can't believe it.
Officially 3 years.
Time flies. Very fast.

Missing Eric

My flight was eventful.
But I'm not going to talk about it.
I'm not in the mood as I'm missing Eric really badly now.

Tonight...
I won't be able to hug him to sleep.
Or give him a goodnight kiss.
Or stroke his face while he snores.

I won't be able to have supper with him.
Or feed him vitamins.
Or watch a show together.

I won't be able to take care of him.
When would my tears stop?
=(

I'm Lovin' It

Okay...so I borrowed the title from McDs.
But I'm so loving it.

My new shorter hair do, that is.

It took me a few days to get used to seeing myself with shorter hair.
Now...I'm cool with it.

Obviously, there's been quite a few comments since I've gone short.
Most of it are positives.
Nothing really negative yet, the worst prob came from Melaine tonight at dinner.
She said my previous longer hairstyle was sexy -_-
This one just makes me look younger.
Just my luck.
Can't a woman look young and sexy at the same time?

So...I've decided to put together a list of pro and cons of my new shorter hair.

Pros
1. Takes less time to style.(There's nothing much I can do with it in the 1st place)
2. Less time is spent shampooing & conditioning my hair.(Saves water too!)
3. Which leads to saving lots on hair shampoo & conditioner.(I'm using Vidal Sassoon which I luv to bits)
4. I look younger.
5. And cuter.
6. Mum says I look smaller.(I disagree...'Cause I was never big! But this is going in Pros anyway =P)

Cons
1. Limited choice when it comes to styling.(No up or down dilemma here)
2. Many hair accessories are retiring into storage and never to see sunlight for a long time.
3. Have to get it trimmed every month or so for maintenance.
4. Most important of all...doesn't help on the sexiness level =(

Well well well...more Pros than Cons =D

I am really loving it. Even when there's so many Cons.

Showed it to Eric and as usual, his reaction leaves much to be desired.

Baby...my new hair nice or not? *shakes head from side to side*
Why cut so short? *looking bored*
I wanted something new *continues shaking head side to side*
It's short.
So do you like it? *shake shake shake*
Have to see in real life first *still looking bored*
-_-

Yeah, so until now I don't know what Eric really thinks of my new hairstyle except that it's short.
The least he could say was I am still pretty.
Guess I'll know when he sees me at the end of the month.

Wait...suddenly it hit me.
Lol...I think I know why Eric is not so enthusiastic bout my short hair!
Baby...I promise we'll figure something out.
We just gotta be more creative ;P

I've got flowers!

Eric sent my these lovely flowers for Valentine's Day.
He's the sweetest hubby any gal could hope for *blush*
After 2 years of marriage, I still get flowers on February 14 =)

I was so surprised when the delivery man showed up in a taxi this morning.
Thought he had gotten lost on the way to his girlfriend's house and wanted to ask for directions!

No mistake here...it's really for ME!

2 dozens of beautiful beautiful lilies...my favourite flower *smells flowers again*

Out of 24 stalks of lilies, this is the lone lily that has started to bloom beautifully.

How can I not be in love with you my sweet and thoughtful darling.

Missing you desperately this Valentine's.

Thank you for the lovely lilies. They're as beautiful as you.

My Valentine

Every year when Valentine’s Day draws near, you can feel all the lovey doveyness in the air.

Hearts, roses and diamonds…what’s not to love on Valentines?

Every Valentine’s Day, Eric is up early to make sure everything is in order.
It’s a very very important day of course.
Everything must be perfect for this day.
Every gal loves nibbling on delicious food while gazing into their lovers eyes.
So do I.

How lucky am I to have a husband who could whip up a romantic dinner all by himself?
Nothing is sexier than a man in the kitchen.
Wait..there is actually…
What’s sexier… is a man in the kitchen wearing only an apron ;P

The truth is, I haven’t had a Valentine’s dinner on February 14 for the past 5 years.
It’s not because I was single for all those years mind you.
It’s ‘cause my darling was busy cooking a romantic dinner for those lucky couples celebrating Valentine’s.
That’s what it’s like being with a Chef.

This Valentine’s Day, we’re thousands of miles apart.
He’ll be cooking a wonderful dinner I’m sure, while I’ll be home watching some sappy love story on tv by myself.
Obviously I can’t go on a date even if anyone ask me now can I?
Unless it’s Eric who miraculously flies back to KL and sweep me off my feet for a night of romance.

Yes…wishful thinking.

Darling,
I just want you to know.
Even if there isn’t any red roses.
An expensive present. A romantic dinner. Or dainty chocolates.
You have my heart.
Now and always.

J’adore...My Valentine.

Hot & Wet

Can't believe how hot and humid it is in KL.
And it's raining.

From 9 degrees to 29 degrees Celsius in 4 hours.
I'm burning hot. And sticky -_-

I'm missing Eric badly.
Miss seeing his smile.
Miss tasting his kisses.
Miss feeling his hugs.
I miss...just being with him.

Have to keep myself busy.
'Cause I'll tear up whenever I miss him too much.
My eyes are quite swollen and I kinda resemble a goldfish now.

So the plan is...
I'm going to meet up with as many friends as I can to keep myself busy.
Luckily there's many dinners and drinks lined up already.
And also meeting up with my aunts and cousins.
Mahjong sessions are in the horizon =P

There's so many things to be taken care as well.
Bills, banking, shopping, cleaning...and the list goes on.

Not forgetting I have a cross stitch project to work on =)

But I'll still be missing Eric every second of the day.
That's how my heart chose to be.
I'll let it be.

The Anniversary Dinner @ Morton's

What's a celebration without food right?
Lucky me...Eric made reservations at Morton's in Venetian for a romantic dinner together =)

This is the complete food menu at Morton's.

How sweet...our menu is personalized for our anniversary...

Dinner started off with a big chunk of bread

The bread is really soft and fluffy

This is a seafood platter...it has yummy oysters, crab cakes, prawns and scallops wrapped with bacon

The steaks at Morton's are huge.I mean really really huge 0_o Even the asparagus are called "jumbo asparagus"
Cute little shiny things to play with while waiting for our dessert
This is a souffle. Why is it not in a cup? Well...it happens to be a souffle for two. It was too big so it got cut up and served =(
Complimentary hot chocolate cake from Morton's

Two years and still smoking hot together ;P

A sweet little keepsake from the friendly people of Morton's =D

As it was our anniversary, we got a really special table with a nice view of the restaurant. The only problem was...they had to move our table for us to get in and out!
You can imagine how funny it looks to the other patrons.
Luckily the lighting in Morton's is really super dim...don't think they got a good look at us =)
Then our server actually introduce the entire menu to us with a live lobsters and some other sidekicks lineup for the show...the lobster was the star of course =P

It's really a night of many first...

Last night was perfect...the atmosphere at Morton's was just right for romance.

Dark, quiet, mysterious ;P

I love it...

Thank you my darling *hugs*

Our 2nd Wedding Anniversary

Last year, we couldn't celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary together as Eric had settled down in Macau while I was still working in KL.

Obviously I was sad. So this year, by hook or by crook...I gotta be with my sweetheart =P

Two years on and I love him more with each passing day.

He makes red seem redder.
He makes a life funnier (with his crooked sense of humour!).
He makes my tears into smiles.
He makes me a better person (though I'm still a clown in the kitchen =P)

Most of all...he makes me wonder what made God thinks I deserve someone as wonderful as him?

Darling...here's to 2 years and 80 more!
