I'm a chef's wife who can't cook. I'm trying to learn the basics of culinary art, until I do, either we eat out or someone else does the cooking! I'm starting this blog to keep myself motivated about cooking, and also with my short term memory, it's best to have a diary to remember all those ingredients list and weird sounding chefs language(okay, I admit, it's mostly French).So...let the mayhem begin!

The Twilight Saga
My social life was kinda on hold just so I could feed my need for sexy vamps and hot wolves.
Let me just say this.
Bella gets on my nerves.
Sometimes, it's so irritating to read her thoughts.
I'll just skip right through it.
I know...but that's the way I read my books.
I'm so impatient to know the whole story that I'll ignore things that I deem unimportant.
In this case, Bella's thoughts.
I just can't stand her.
Irritates me to no end...ughhh
She's right, she doesn't deserve either Edward or Jacob.
Anyways, I did love the Twilight Saga.
It was exciting, imaginative and funny.
Of all the books, I love Breaking Dawn the best.
One good reason is because a part of the story was told through Jacob's thoughts instead of Bella's.
It was refreshing.
It was funny.
It made me fell in love with Jacob as well.
Nothing beats a guy with a great sense of humour =P
The book I like the least would probably be New Moon.
Because of the stupid Bella.
But that doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to the movie that's coming out soon.
I so want to see a half naked Jacob ;P

If only men like Edward exist...sigh...
Yes, I know, he's a vampire.
And I'm married.
Since I skipped part of Bella's thought, I'm now going to read the whole Saga again.
That's what I normally do anyway, for books that I like.
No regrets getting my collection of Twilight Saga books.
I even watched the Twilight movie again for comparison.
And Bella irritated me in the movie as well.
Maybe I'm just jealous of her...but she's seriously bloody irritating.
Ohhh...how I wish I can have my own lullaby.
Sigh...Eric can't even sing, what more write me a lullaby.
But a girl can dream right?
Yup...I can just hear Eric saying it...

Why I love...

This is Fabio with a leading lady...
Beyond kiddie books, I discovered a world of romance, fiction, autobiography and adventure. Historical is one subject that I have yet to grab any interest in me. I've never had any interest in history and that almost lead to me failing my history paper in SPM. I can't seem to appreciate poetry as well...and could only understand Romeo and Juliet when it was made into a Movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
I find that reading feeds the imagination and provoke emotions. It's only words that makes up a story but the mind gives it life. So often tears will run down my cheek as I get to a sad part of a book. I could feel their pain, their suffering, their lost. Equally as often, I would be laughing all to myself as the funny part of the book tickles me. Either way, Eric thinks I'm nuts. Maybe I'm just too emotional, but then I've come to accept that words have a powerful effect on me.
Joy of reading should be shared right? I'm embarrass to admit that I'm very protective of my books. I won't lend it to people I can't trust just in case they dogeared or stain the pages. Or God forbid, fold the cover 0_o I get a little paranoid thinking of my book's fate in another person's hand. Okay, I know it's a little overacting and I could always buy another copy of the same book for less than RM50 but it's not the same. It's so hard to explain it, but it's just not the same. It's something like falling in love for the first time. Subsequent love falling is just different...maybe stronger maybe hotter but still it's not the same.
I hope more people would love reading. Pick up a book, a magazine or the newspaper and just read a little. Or easier, just read my blog =P Hey, that's reading too! If anyone is having trouble figuring out what gift to present me during birthdays, Christmas or just for fun, a book is always appreciated (just not historical, poetry or in foreign languages!) from the bottom of my heart.
