Klang Wedding and Bak Kut Teh

Yesterday was a super early day for us gals.
Got up before 6am O_O...haven't done that since OBC days.
Joverse stayed over at my house so both of us could make our way to Klang together gether la.
Klang is still a very foreign place to me so we made arrangements to meet Regina and trailed her to Shey Imm's house =)
No point trying to be smart aleck and get lost in Klang at an ungodly hour isn't it?
We got there safe and sound and the bride was just about ready....so obviously must camwhore lar before the bridegroom arrive with the angpows =P

Me, Joverse, Regina, Yann Mei and Shey Imm the bride.
After much "hardship" and lots of angpows...Lai managed to get his bride from the clutches of her "chee muis". Congratulations you two!

Ahem...Charlie's Angels in Klang...this is Regina, Yann Mei and me camwhoring again by the road. Me trying to show my artistic side with the camera...not bad right? =P

After Shey Imm left with Lai for Johor...I can't wait to go breakfast.
I was so hungry and also sleepy.
So Regina took us for some Klang bak kut teh.
Since in Klang already...sure must have some bak kut teh lar.

This bak kut teh place was recommended to Regina by her friend.
It's located at the back of the Klang Hokkien Association which was said to be pretty famous.
Since it was a first visit for all 3 of us...we kinda had a little trouble finding the place.
It's quite secluded okay.
Luckily there's an arrow at a signboard at the association's entrance pointing the way.
See....I didn't bluff...secluded right? Who would've guessed there's a restaurant at the back lorong?

Yeoh's Bah Kut Teh...only open for business during breakfast and lunch. Closed on Monday and got website somemore =D

Here, you're given a packet of tea leaves and a teapot with a few little teacups to brew your own Chinese tea. There are kettles with boiling water stationed nearby just for this purpose so it's quite dangerous if you're bringing kids to this place.

Yau char kuai came first and the portion so small leh.

Our pot of bah kut teh...looks yummy doesn't it? Luckily the bak kut teh soup got colour and not those clear type. Whenever I see clear bak kut teh, it makes me feel kinda cheated...it's as if they never put enough herbs and ingredients mar.

We also ordered some organic golden needle mushrooms. Damn little also lor =(

A plate of vege which I didn't even touch =P

What surprised me the most was the fact that they have a branch in Hong Kong.
Check out their website for their menu and more pics.

So...would I go back to Yeoh's when I have bak kut teh cravings?
Probably yes if I'm in the area.
But I won't be driving there all the way from Subang just for it.
It's not that yummilicious to make the journey.
Somehow, I still think my usual leng chai bak kut teh shop in SS14 Subang is the best =P

A Wedding and A Baby

It's been a busy weekend.
But what could be better than a wedding and a baby right?
First of all...gotta talk about my fake eyelash.
Oooohhh....I love them.
Works way better than mascara(hate those smudging) but takes damn long to put it on right!
Took me about 30 minutes to stick them on.
It was tedious but I've been told that practise makes perfect.
This eyelash that I bought came with a strong glue.
Got glue all over my fingers...maybe I wasn't doing it right...but the eyelash stuck on the whole night securely.
My only concern...did I glue them on any of my own eyelash?
I will totally freak out if I rip off what tiny bit of my natural short eyelashes when removing the fakes O_O

Aren't they gorgeous? Everyone was commenting how natural they look =)
Weng is Eric's cousin and the dinner was at Jaya Palace.
Seems like whichever wedding I attend, I end up sitting at the registration table.
While the bride and groom was all ready to make their grand entrance, Audrey(Eric's sis) and I quickly snap a pic with the huge poster where everyone wrote well wishes...some just left their signature like celebrities =P

Wedding favours. It's a biscuit sitting in that cute little basket.

As I was the only one who brought a normal size bag instead of a small demure dinner bag, this is what happened. At the end of the night, 8 of these were incubating in my bag.

Even the Chef had to be part of the food presentation entourage. Kinda a funny sight but not as funny as...

...this! Entertainers of the night sang and danced to cha cha cha with some healthy dose of rock & roll.

April, Audrey, Me, Lye and Eric's mum.

Sad to say, but the food wasn't that great.
I had a great time though =)

Get ready for overload of cuteness...I'm not kidding..Cuteness Alert

Meet baby Braxton <3

He's only one week old but so so so cute.
Much congratulations to Bryan and Amy on the arrival of their lovely baby.
Braxton smiled alot while I was carrying him and he has two cute little dimples.
He's going to be breaking lots of gals hearts when he grows up.
Oh..and he fell asleep while I was cradling him =)
Yes, my clock is ticking faster and louder.

Back and busy

Eric is back and we've had such a busy day today.
I wonder why I'm still not asleep yet while Eric is happily snoring away next to me.

Was at Gabriel's house till late just now for his bachelor night dinner thingy.
The funny thing is, the bride's house is just next door!
So they had both parties together...can save money also =P

Since almost the whole gang were there tonight, as usual, lots of talking and laughing.
Someone even commented that I've put on weight =(
I was also asked some questions that I thought would never be asked again...it's kinda funny.
Sometimes I wonder what people say behind our backs about the whole affair.
I agree that for those who knows us from back in school will find it kinda weird...but that's just how life is.
Things happens and we move on.
People can remain friends after a breakup can't they?
Anyways, all those are water under a bridge.
Though I wonder why some just can't let it go...I wish that relationship has mend, but I doubt it ever will.

All of us were friends from school, so obviously we are all approaching the age of marriage.
Eric and I were the first to get married almost 3 years back.
Followed by a few who got registered but haven't had the wedding dinner.
One has a baby already and another have a baby on the way.
Man...how time flies.

And tonight, I've heard a few wedding plans in the pipeline.
Guys talking about diamond rings and proposals are just so cute.
It's like...they can't believe they did it.
I'm so happy for them...I love weddings.
Maybe because it brings back memories of my own wedding years ago.

I didn't have a big diamond on my ring.
I didn't have a romantic tear inducing proposal.
I didn't have the biggest fancy wedding dinner.

But what I had was a wonderful man who wanted me to be his wife.
And that memory is the one that lives on in my heart.
