An Affair to Remember

Recently, there's a lot being written about men and women having affairs. Adultery seem so common these days that we just accept it as part and parcel of life. Infidelity is the "in" thing to some. The reason people give to justify an affair can be so lame and sick but to me it's just plain sad. Who's to blame when an affair starts? The husband? The wife? Or the scheming China Doll who is kinda infamous for the rising statistic of divorces?

Naturally, everyone from Grandmas, aunties, uncles, friends and also acquaintances who happen to know Eric is in Macau would give the same advice. As if I'm not worried enough already but still they'll tell me stories. Yes, I know Macau is in China. And yes...China Dolls are there, in bloody abundance mine you. Yup, the Dolls are tall, fair, pretty and also come with a body to die for. So what am I supposed to do? Just because I'm not tall, fair, pretty and and skinny my husband will hook up with a Doll? Granted, being so far away, insecurities do creep in now and then. But then again, my very imaginative mind tends to run wild ever so often. I used to tell those "good meaning" people that Eric doesn't speak or understand Mandarin so it's harder for a Doll to make a move on him. Well, then they'll tell me that Dolls use "body" language so there goes my theory -_- . Since Eric is such a smart and intelligent guy...after a few months in Macau, he managed to pick up Mandarin anyway 0_o

I believe that if a guy has the intention to cheat, he'll do it no matter which country he's in and also with whatever nationality of available woman who doesn't mind wrecking a relationship. If there's lust, a man would cheat even right under his wife's nose! So actually, there's nothing much we can do about it. It's a choice that a person must make themselves. Do they want to cheat? It's always a choice isn't it?. Just like having a sinful chocolate desert or a celery stick. We all want the chocolate even if it belongs to someone else.

I personally know so many people who has had or are still in an affair. Some marriage ended. Or the marriage is still there and the wife is suffering. The children are definitely victims. Or some wives will accept the fact that there's another woman and live with it. That is something that I can never ever do. No sharing. Call me selfish or a bitch, but there's no two ways about it. It's either all for me or I don't want any at all. Any woman with dignity will walk away, yes, I understand that children needs their father, but what kind of father figure is an adulterer?

I know it's hard to ignore a beautiful woman who is offering some sinful goodies. Hell, if it's Christiano Ronaldo offering his hot goodies...I can't promise I won't consider the proposal ;P So, is it safe leaving your husband or boyfriend alone in a country well known for beauties such as Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi? Not really...unless you're trying to get rid of him!
